Tur dal ---1/2 cup
Tamarind -- one small lime size
Chana dal--two tblspns
Urad dal--one tblspn
Dry red chilli--4/5
Pepper 3/4 tsp
Dhania seeds-- one tsp
Coconut scrappings 5/6 tblspns
Vegetables---red pumpkin, white pumpkin, avarai kai, sweet potato, potato,padval,beans, raw banana, cluster beans, all cleaned and cut.
Method:
- Keep the tur dal to boil .
- Boil the vegetables seperately.
- Fry the dry incredents one by one and grind with coconut to a paste.
- Extract tamarind pulp.
- When the dal has boiled add to the boiled vegetables.
- Add tamarind paste salt to taste and the ground paste.
- Boil for a few mins, add hing mix well , remove from fire.
- Season with mustard and curry leaves.
